I've recently found some new beauty bargains that are definitely something to write about. So keep on reading to save on some pennies and maybe even find a dupe or two, too!
Simple Clear Skin Oil Balancing Facial Scrub
So I was running low on my exfoliator (Lush's Dark Angels) and wanting to try something new and a little bit cheaper and longer lasting. I was doing some other online shopping on Superdrug and I saw the offer on the Simple range. The Simple Clear Skin Oil Balancing Facial Scrub (what a mouthful!) was only £1.95 usually priced at £3.99 so it was hardly breaking the bank. I didn't expect miracles but I was wrong. Normally witch hazel breaks me out more so but this surprisingly didn't! The actual grittiness in this isn't as gritty as the Dark Angels I was used to but it seems to have done the trick. My skin cleared up in under a week and I'd only used this twice and not changed anything else I was using or eating etc. So it must've been this! It's my new holy grail and definitely think it's worth having a try and see if it works for you.
Boots Essentials Cucumber Eye Gel
I don't sleep well. I haven't in years. An full nights sleep with no disturbances happens once in an blue moon for me. I find it so hard to fall asleep, I spend hours just looking at the wall. I can literally be yawning all day, waiting until I can get into bed and when I get into bed it's just like I can't switch off and let my brain rest. I've tried everything and now I just give up and just deal with living on an small amount of hours sleep. So obviously I have suitcases under my eyes majority of the time. I've always thought eye gels are overpriced, don't really work and I'd end up with sore red eyes because the smell of the product has gotten to me. I usually just splash cold water on my face after I've washed it to tone and wake my skin. (And I have an glass of water before anything else to wake up my skin and body too) or if I have time, use the old cucumber on eyes trick. Anyway I bought this on an whim because it was only £1.50. And it actually works. It's got an faint smell of cucumber and I apply twice daily. In the morning and in the evening. A little goes a long way which is a bonus. My eyes are still looking tired but not as bad as usual. So I'd definitely recommend snapping this up.
Rimmel Brow This Way Styling Gel
I usually swear by Benefit's Gimme Brow. While it's pricey, it definitely has sorted my sparse eyebrows out over the past year or so. But I've come to realise that it doesn't last long and the amount in the product is kind of rubbish compared to Brow This Way. I'd definitely call this the next best thing. Maybe even it's dupe. The only downside is the brush is quite big and bulky but what I'm currently doing is using a few of my old Gimme Brow brushes in the product and it seems to be coming out much better and defined than using the Brow This Way brush. It comes in four shades: Blonde, Mid Brown, Dark Brown and Clear. I'm using Dark Brown and it suits my red/brown hair fine. It's £3.99 but at the minute it's on offer in Boots for £2.99.
Rimmel's Rita Ora Nail Polish Collection
I'm a sucker for nail polish even though I have my natural nails and they're anything but long and beautiful. I use nail polish just to make them look better and to blend in with an outfit usually. Anyway I've only been using these ones for a few months but they are really good for the price. I'd read the reviews and people were moaning about the fact that they aren't an "quick fix and go"type of nail polish. Yes they are a little streaky but it depends entirely on the colour. The darker/deeper the colour the less streaky they are with these. The colours are kind of pastel but eye catching and I've had many compliments, especially when wearing my favourites: Roll In The Grass and Bestival Blue. But for £2.99 they are a bargain if you're willing to put a little effort into your nails. I'd say it takes about 10 minutes to paint two coats of the lighter colours and dry. So it's not that bad!
Imperial Leather Shower Cream
I honestly don't know how I've missed these until now. Especially my new favourite Marshmallow scented one. If you've read my previous posts you'll know my love for Lush. One of my limited edition favourites is Snow Fairy which smells like candy floss. This is the next best thing to it. It's very comforting, which is even says on the bottle but you know them days when you just need an long sock in the bath with a
small large glass of wine? Then I'd definitely recommend it for them type of days. It's basically like an hug in an bottle and the smell lingers for hours. The prices for these are a little all over the place but the cheapest I've bought mine for was £1 at Sainsburys. They do lots of different scented ones to from Fruit Salad to Mango and more.
I hope you enjoyed reading this and hope you go grab yourself a bargain! Sorry about the lack of pictures. I did take some but they didn't come out very well because they were on my phone. Typical that my camera has decided to pack up when I start up a blog eh. Please like if
