So it's the last day of August. I cannot believe how fast this summer and well, year has gone by in general. Before we know it Halloween things will be hitting the shops and next thing you know it's Christmas again! Anyway today's post is as described. There is a little bit of everything on this list of things so be prepared because it might seem a little all over the place. But I hope you enjoy it!
First thing is the Body Fantasies Body Mists. I think these are only available in Superdrug in the UK at the minute but I'm not 100% sure. I've only got the Japanese Cherry Blossom one right now because that was the only one available, but I am going to buy Twilight Mist when I can get my hands on it because it's out of stock online and it's never in the shop either. The Cherry Blossom one is lovely! it's not overpowering which I think is a good thing and it's smells very fresh but delicate. Price: £3.99 but are half price at the minute in Superdrug.
Next is Stranger Things. Oh my god what a show. Some people get the hype and some people don't. I definitely do! I will admit I was debating on continuing watching it after two episodes because I wasn't gripped straight away but I think after watching the third or fourth episode then I was hooked and ended up going work feeling very cranky and tired the next day haha. It's one of those shows that you have to watch it without any distractions and listen intently. Because if you miss something it will confuse you the hell out of you. Love the 80's vibe and music in this too and the children actors are so good considering they're so young. When's season two being released?
Pukka Tea is one of the best things I've found in ages. Plus it was entirely accidental find it so it makes it seem even more better. Some of you reading this might thing uh, boring. But this stuff is magic I swear. There's 20 tea bags per box, they each come in a little cute sachet and there's lots of different types in the range. Some are the basic ones like Earl Grey and English Breakfast but the ones I've got in at the minute are called: Detox, Relax and Night Time. I don't really know why this tea seems to work for me better than any other flavoured teas but it just does. The detox one seems to make my skin clear up quickly. The night time one relaxes me when I'm trying to sleep and helps to stop me overthinking so much in the middle of the night and relax obviously helps me the wind down and just feel more at ease. Definitely recommend. Prices range from about £2.39-£3.69 depending where you shop. links: http://bit.ly/2cmIBSc | http://bit.ly/2cmJ1HU | http://bit.ly/2bMQrnm
Rimmel Brow This Way is something I've already wrote about in my previous post. It's definitely grown on me even more. If you've not read my previous post then I'll just say that you do get a lot of product for the price and the colours are a good match but the brush is quite big and bulky... as you can see in my picture above. It's quite hard to work with. Definitely would say to use an old eyebrow brush (I use my old Gimme Brow brushes) But it stays on really well and doesn't flake off at all. Price: £3.99 so it's very purse friendly which is an added bonus.
So this one is tad bit embarrassing to admit but I've become quite addicted to Teen Wolf. It's like a guilty pleasure. I watched the first season about two months ago and didn't really know what to make of it and whether if I wanted to continue or not. Just because I thought it was kind of a little rip off twilight but with wolves being the main focus and a little cliche in some parts. But a few weeks ago because of being absolutely nothing decent to watch at the minute series-wise... apart from Pretty Little Liars. I thought I'd get into season two, and now I've just started season 4 the other day (
People say that curvier, chubbier, fatter (whichever way you want to phrase it) people shouldn't wear horizontal stripes/lines because "it makes them look bigger and wider". I've heard and seen that everywhere since I was younger. Which is why for so many years I've just avoided and not given any tops or dresses with stripes a chance at all. But all of sudden over the past few months I seem to have collected quite a few and they've become staples in my wardrobe and the weird thing is... they actually suit me. So when I wear any of them they are just instantly a confidence booster. I tend to wear them with either a long and big necklace just to spruce them up a bit more. But yeah, new favourite print. Who'd a thought it?
My faves are in the picture above and they're all from supermarkets: left - asda £10 but isn't available anymore | middle was £7 but now has gone into sale and right £5 - both from sainsburys
Colleen Hoover. This woman's books are amazing. I haven't read all of her newest book It Ends With Us yet because I've had a lot of things going on and haven't really felt like reading to be honest. But I've read almost all of her books and you literally feel all of the emotions all the way through them. You laugh, you sob, you feel angry, confused and more. Her books get into your soul and you don't get that with every book you read. She's one of a kind in my opinion. My favourite books by her are: Confess, Hopeless and Maybe Someday.
Hello, hello to my new favourite band... Blossoms. Love their new album so so so much. After spending a few weeks away from everything just because my mind wasn't into doing literally anything, I finally started to feel better and more like myself and then remembering about their album being released was such a good feeling. Instant mood booster. It's one of them albums which you can listen to in your car or when you're half asleep at night or to have a good sing along to in the shower (recommend Charlemagne for that). I'm so proud of them for getting their album to number one in the UK too. They definitely deserved it! Favourite songs: Honey Sweet, Deep Grass, Texia
So there's my August faves. What were yours?
Thanks, Kirsty x
