I'll admit that this year hasn't been the best year in general for me and I'll kind of be glad when it's over. But I've really found some game changers whilst buying make up, hair and skin care products this year. So I thought I'd spill some of the make up ones to you for now. Also would like to say all these products have something in common... they were all under £10 each. So your bank accounts won't be screaming "not again" after you've read about them. Yay!
Seventeen Brow Sculpting Pencil
Well hello there my new favourite brow product. I've literally only just bought this in the past week and it's definitely sorted my misbehaving eyebrows out. I'm still getting used to using a pencil again though because I've been using eyebrow gels which contain fibres for over a year now. But this was just one of those "I'll give it a try" kind of buys and it's brilliant. And the best thing is the price... £2.89. It's a complete steal! I think they only do it in one shade which is natural brown. But I'd say it's more of a medium/dark brown personally. Couldn't recommend this more.
Avon True Colour Perfectly Matte Lipstick
So if you haven't seen or heard of these yet then get on the Avon website right now and look at them because you're missing out on a treat. I love these so much, there's literally nothing bad about them. Their price is £8 but right now they are on offer for £5.50 so definitely grab one... or ten. (There's 22 shades altogether)
NYX Wonder Pencil
This is definitely as it's called. It's a wonder pencil. It can be used in four different ways: Conceal, Highlight, Eyeliner, Lipliner. Amazing, right? I usually use mine for highlighting below my eyebrows and inner corner of my eyes. Also I use it as a waterline liner to brighten my eyes most days. There's three different shades: Light, Medium, Deep. I personally use the light shade because of my pale skin. Price: £4 in Boots.
Brushegg Brush Cleaner
This cute little thing is the cheapest brush cleaner available right now. It must be. It's a travel sized brush cleaner (it comes in different colours) and I'm guessing it works just as well as the more expensive ones as it's got hundreds of good reviews. I almost bought the Real Techniques Brush Cleaner but I was just browsing on amazon and came across this! So it was another one of those "I'll give it a try" type of buys. Basically it's like a mini glove and you put it on two or three of your fingers, add a little bit of shower gel and your brushes are like new within minutes. The best thing? The price was 35p! (and a £1.05 delivery charge) There's some other accounts on amazon trying to sell this at £6.95 so I'm putting the link in for you here.
NYX Soft Matte Lip Creams
Yes, another NYX product! These and the Avon lipsticks mentioned above are my all time favourite lip products. There's a lovely range of shades to choose from but I will admit that some of the bottles are a little deceiving to what the actual colour inside is. So definitely go to your local Boots store and swatch them before buying. They're long lasting, very pigmented and they smell amazing and reasonably priced at £5.50 each. (Istanbul is my favourite)
Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara
Totally have been saving the best one until last. This has changed my lash game completely. Definitely the best mascara I've used in my life (yes really) I really don't know how I've missed out on this. I was so happy with my They're Real Mascara by Benefit but it just stopped working as well and then I went to this and thought I've been spending more than double the price of Lash Sensational on They're Real and haven't got as good results from it. Kinda felt betrayed if I'm honest lol. But now this is definitely my favourite mascara. I got it from ASOS when Maybelline products were on sale a few months ago but normal RRP is £7.99.
So there's a sneak peak of some of my favourite make up products I've found so far this year. There's so many more and it was really hard to choose which ones to feature in this post. I think I will do the skincare and hair care editions in the next few weeks because I have got some other different posts ideas lined up in my head and just need to get them written up. So I hope you liked this post! What are your favourite finds so far this year?
