New Releases From Pure Potions | 99% Natural Shampoo and Conditioner

I'm all for trying out new hair care products because my hair is everything you don't want, it's frizzy, pretty dry and quite thin. I was intrigued to try out the new Natural Hair and Scalp range* from Pure Potions due to the fact that it's kind to the skin and is suitable for people who are prone to allergies, eczema, itchy scalp or seborrheic dermatitis. I do have eczema flare ups on my elbows at times and it seems to flare up more when my hormones are all over the place or if I'm stressed. Obviously, you would think using your normal shampoo and conditioner on your hair during my eczema flare up wouldn't really affect it but it does. The products also contain No Parabens. No Perfumes. No Petrochemicals. No SLS. No SLES.

Whilst trying these I didn't actually have a full on flare up, it was just very mild but I still thought I would try them out during that time. Obviously, I tried out the Shampoo first, it's lathered up quickly and was easy to rinse out. I would say it has a kind of herbal-light floral scent which is nice.

When I first tried to get the conditioner out, it did seem to had a little water/oil build up inside (the product hadn't been near the bath or shower as I had just got both the products out of the packaging they came in). I did find that to be a little odd but since the first time I used it, I now just shake the bottle up a little and I haven't experienced the water/oil build up since. The conditioner wasn't too thick nor too thin and applied nicely to my hair. After rinsing out the conditioner and the blow drying my hair, my hair did feel really soft and it looks nice and healthy with an added shine. The product hadn't irritated my mild flare up at all either so it's a thumbs up from me.

I do like both of the products I used and I think if you are someone who does problematic skin and/or flare ups regularly and you find it hard to get your hands on products which work for you and don't annoy your skin then I would recommend both the Shampoo and the Conditioner from Pure Potions. They are easy to get hold of, either on the Pure Potions website or QVC. The only thing for me personally that kind of put me off a little is the price at £18 each but I do think they do their job well, they made my hair look and feel lovely and smooth. It just depends on how much money you're willing to spend on your shampoo and conditioner.

  1. I've seen these online a few times recently and been intrigued but not sure I could ever pay that much for them, they do sound good though! My skin can be a little sensitive at times so seems like these could be quite good for it x

    1. Yeah I know what you mean! They do work well but they're not something I could afford to buy all of the time x
