I haven't done a favourites kind of post in literally months, so I thought I'd do a round-up of various things that I've been loving over the past month or so and share them with you.
Zoella Jelly & Gelato Body Pudding
Nothing had really ever blown my mind with Zoella Beauty and got me really interested if I'm being totally honest but when I saw her Jelly & Gelato range I couldn't resist. I picked up a few things from the range which you can read about here. But my all time favourite from everything I picked up is the Body Pudding which is basically a body lotion in a ice cream looking tub, it's so cute. It's got little beads inside and they burst when you apply the lotion and you don't have to use tons of product. It definitely helps brighten up my skin and makes it feel so soft.
Benefit Shy Beam
I've really been enjoying this highlighter/brightener from Benefit, it is pricey at £21.50 but I bought the mini version first to see if I liked it and then decided to pick up the full size. It's not your usual kind of highlighter, it's matte but it gives off a subtle, healthy looking highlight/radiance. People also use this for under their eyes to brighten up the area. I tend to pair this up with my Benefit Dandelion Face Powder and it looks really nice and natural looking. I don't think it's a highlighter for everyone but if you're looking for a very subtle, matt highlighter then I would say give this a try (definitely try out the mini first though).
I did a blog post about my most recent haul at The Body Shop and this is one of the things I picked up. I have so many fab foundations but they always tend to steer towards an orange-ish colour on my pale skin, even when they are the lightest shade available. I basically am as pale as paper. But this has been a godsend and saved me money on trying to find the perfect shade of foundation. It's basically a pale girl's best friend, highly recommend!
Essence Marshmallow Fireside Candle (B&M)
This candle is basically life rn. Whenever I'm in my room, it's lit. This is a new one in the photo above because the one I currently have beside my bed is almost finished. I've already picked up another one (even though I literally have a stash of candles to use!) It smells exactly as it's described, it's kind of a wintery, smokey marshmallow scent and is just lovely. It makes my room feel really cosy and ready for the upcoming months and they are only £3.99 in B&M.
Soft Box Lights
I know people are against fake lighting for blog photos and I used to be too and always went on about how "natural is best" but let's face it, with living in the UK you can't always wait around for a bright sunny day to come along for blog photos, especially with the darker nights being here now. Since picking these up I've noticed that my photos look so much brighter (I'm still getting used to using the right angles and so on though lol) these were definitely the best kind of "investment" for my blog because I couldn't afford to pick up a new camera. If you're looking for some Soft Box Lights then these are probably the most affordable on the market for what you get (2x Soft Box Lights, Bulbs, Travel Bag). They are quite big but they do fold down into the travel bag if needed, I've got mine propped up against my wardrobe in the corner of my room and they tuck away nicely. They are £46.99 including delivery here.
Essence Matt Matt Matt Lipstick - Beauty, Approved!*
As you may already know, I love the brand Essence, they very kindly send me out products to review on my blog often and I just can't fault them at all. The most recent parcel I received was some of the Matt vs. Shine Lipsticks collection and out of all of the ones I was sent, this is definitely my favourite. It's so pretty and great for an everyday kind of look. I find that these Matt Matt Matt Lipsticks are quite similar to the NYX Soft Matte Lipcreams so if you're a fan of those then you'll more than likely like these and they are a couple of quid cheaper.
The Body Shop Sumptuous Camomile Butter
So I've really gotten into the whole "double cleanse" thing lately and I literally cannot be without this now. I am still a little wary of oily kind of products but this is kind of a balm which melts in an oil and my skin seems to be getting along with it nicely. Because I only use it to remove makeup or for a deep "first cleanse" I don't see it being a problem. I also have read that using oils can help to calm down and heal any present spots or scarring. This is so good, it kind of makes my skin feels plump after I use it. Plus I can tell it's going to last a while because I only have to use a tiny amount (on my moon face shape) to get all of my makeup off. It's great for eye makeup removal too even though I do love the Camomile Eye Makeup Remover from The Body Shop too and use that a lot too.
Klairs Illuminating Supple BB Cream*
I've also become a little obsessed with this BB Cream from Klairs which I was recently sent from KOJA Beauty. It's both cruelty-free and vegan-friendly which is a huge plus. It's a blemish treatment but also a tinted BB cream which universally adapts to your skin colour. It gives me a light to medium coverage and feels so lightweight. I tend to pair it up with a medium coverage concealer for natural makeup days. It's also SPF 40 and suitable for all skin types. I think it's great because it's basically the same size as a toothpaste tube so you do get a good amount of product for the price and I can honestly say it's the best BB Cream I've ever used and I'd buy it again in a heartbeat.
