With January in full swing and the weather being pretty miserable (as expected) I thought this post might be helpful just to give you a few ideas of things to do instead of mindlessly scrolling through your twitter and instagram feeds all day (which I am completely guilty of doing most of the time too).
Bake
I think baking is such a great idea and just a fun thing to do in general and it's definitely something I want to do more of this year. I think when the weather is all rainy and grim, making cakes just makes the house feel really cosy. Plus you obviously can snuggle up with a blanket and eat your yummy cakes a few hours later too, win!
Playing Games
I think online gaming is a great way to pass time if you're stopping in to avoid the miserable weather. Whether you're playing whatever the latest game is on your Xbox or Playstation or playing Foxy Bingo which is one of my favourite bingo games. Or maybe even going down the old-fashioned route and getting the monopoly board out. Games are just fun and they definitely help to pass the time away.
Reading or Netflix Binge?
Is there anything nicer than getting into a new book when you're all snug and cosy and listening to the rain outside? I don't think so. But I do like a Netflix binge every now and then too. I'm currently watching Black Mirror but I have to mentally prepare myself before watching an episode lol.
Pamper Time
I think when it's raining and just plain horrible outside, it's a great excuse to have a bath and just take a moment to full on relax and forget about everything. I love getting the bath bombs and bubble bath out and just have a nice long soak and I sometimes pop on some music or watch Netflix whilst I'm in the bath too.
Clean
I know, I know I've saved the least fun until last - sorry! I do like cleaning but I have to be in the right frame of mind to enjoy it if that makes sense? But I thought I'd add cleaning to the list because well, all of the other options aren't very productive really are they?
What things do you like to do on a rainy day?
