NYK1 Secrets Lash Force Lash and Brow Growth Serum Review

I have already talked about trying out and using lash growth serums recently on my blog but I thought I would do a review on how I've got on with using the NYK1 Secrets Lash Force Lash and Brow Growth Serum* along with how my lashes are looking after consistently using the product over a month.

NYK1 Secrets are a completely new brand to me and when I got the opportunity to try out their Lash Force Serum I was intrigued. Their Lash and Brow growth serum is priced at £34.95 and they say that one tube should last for 3 months (when using it twice daily). My lashes have let me down since when I first began wearing makeup, no matter what mascara or eyelash curler I'd use my lashes would still fall flat fast and just wouldn't look lovely and fluttery like other people's lashes. They're very stubborn and look almost straight most of the time. I very rarely wear fake eyelashes just because I can't be bothered with the faff of it and I think that they tend to make my eyes look even smaller.

The difference in the NYK1 Lash Force which also can be used on brows as well as lashes is that the brush is actually a thin brush with a tipped end, similar to an eyeliner brush. I'll admit, I don't get on with liquid eyeliner at all so I don't have the best experience with applying anything with a tiny brush. But obvious the serum is clear when you apply the Lash Force so it's not too hard to get used to. However after trying out the "proper" way of using the Lash Force for about a week, I decided to change things up a little and use a disposable mascara brush instead each time I used the serum and I personally feel like I was getting better results with the mascara brush as opposed to the eyeliner brush. I also could then apply the serum to my lower lashes, which is great because when I get super stressed out I've noticed that I tend to lose a few of my lower lashes. Weird, huh?

Overall I think I got good results from using the NYK1 Secrets Lash Force Serum priced at £34.95* but I do prefer to use a mascara brush rather than the eyeliner brush but I guess it's personal preference. My lashes look a little longer and they also feel less brittle and more nourished (I think that's a good way to describe them anyway haha). Below are my results whilst wearing one coat of the Glossier Lash Slick mascara which gives me a minimal natural makeup look. There's not much point in showing you my lashes with no makeup as I have really fair lashes so you can barely see them anyway. But if you look at my photo on my blog (to the right) then you can see how my lashes were looking with mascara on it's own before I started to use a lash serum daily. I feel like the photo below doesn't do it justice but they really have grown a lot. In my blog photo I'm probably wearing about 2-3 coats of mascara and below I'm only wearing one coat, so when you look at it like that you can see a difference. They just look more fluttery and they stay curled for a longer amount of time.

NKY1 Secrets Lash Force review results

Whilst it is quite pricey to keep buying a lash serum every 6-12 weeks as they tend to be around the £30+ mark, I definitely think personally it's worth it as I feel as if it's increased my confidence with how my makeup looks on a day-to-day basis. I know it might sound a little silly but it is something that's always made me feel a bit rubbish when I put effort into putting makeup on and then my lashes act up and don't look as nice as I want or expect them to be. I am planning on maybe having a Lash Lift some point this year but it scares me having someone using chemicals so close to my eyes.

Have you tried a lash/brow growth serum before?
How did you get on with it? Did you get good results or bad results?

  2. I use the revitalash lash serum and it's changed my life. Been using it for over a year now and my lashes look like I'm wearing false ones daily! To say they were basically non-existent before I used it, it's a miracle! xx

  5. I’ve not heard of this brand, but I always use both lash and brow growth serums. I’ve tried Revitalash which worked well but I currently use Rapidbrow. I found equally good results with it. Wish these products weren’t so pricey as you have to keep using them. When you stop, the new growth slowly disappears again. Fab post!
