I was planning to write and upload this post before Christmas but everything got a bit much and I ended up leaving a few blog posts I'd planned to have up before Christmas and wait until after Christmas when everything had calmed down a little. So here is my review of the Hairburst Chewable Vitamins - 1 Month Supply £19.99* and Hairburst Lash and Brow Enhancing Serum RRP £32.99*. I think I started to use both around October/November time (it's definitely been over a month, I know that!) and I thought it was about time I shared my thoughts on whether I think they worked and if I'd recommend their products.
So I'm going to talk about the Chewable Hair Vitamins - 1 Month Supply* first. The chewy vitamins contains - Vitamin A, Biotin, Pantothenic acid (Vitamin B5), Vitamin B6, Vitamin B12, Vitamin C, Vitamin E, Selenium and Zinc. It's esentially a chewy vitamin jam packed with vitamins which are proven to help your hair to grow and be stronger. The concept is that you take two per day and it'll help your hair to grow and also give it some added support to make it look and feel healthier. At the time whilst I was taking the vitamins daily I was due an hair cut and well, I'll be honest my hair wasn't looking it's best and it was feeling really dry at the ends and basically just looking like it wasn't very happy. So I'll admit I didn't expect miracles with the vitamins because my hair was in a pretty bad way but I did see some improvement with how my hair felt as it did feel a little stronger and it was looking a tad more shinier than normal and I also think it did grow a little quicker than normal over the month whilst taking them.
The vitamins do taste really nice too which you wouldn't expect as most vitamins taste gross. They don't taste like something your mum made you have when you were younger to "help you grow and be stronger" lol, did anyone else's parents say this? The bottle says that the vitamins are Strawberry and Blackcurrant flavoured and you can definitely taste both flavours in the vitamins which are both flavours I like so I had no problem with taking two of them daily. They kind of taste like Wine Gums or Fruit Pastilles which is totally fine with me. Note: It does state on the bottle that the vitamins do contain Vitamin A so if you are pregnant, breastfeeding or planning to become pregnant soon then you should consult your doctor or antenatal clinic. It also advises to consult your doctor if you're taking any medication too, to make sure that the vitamins won't interact with the pills you are taking. But since trying them out I actually have picked up another 30 Day Supply for myself as it was on offer in Superdrug as I did see an improvement in my hair overall and I have had my hair cut now and it's a tiny bit shorter than I was expecting so I'm now trying to make it grow an inch or two to get it to the length I wanted it in the first place (the struggles of cutting your hair, ugh). Unfortunately they are not vegan/vegetarian friendly as they contain Bovine Gelatine.
Now onto the Hairburst Lash and Brow Enhancing Serum RRP £32.99*. If you've been reading my blog for a while you may have noticed that whenever I talk about mascaras I always talk about how crap my lashes are and that they don't stay curly after I've curled them and that they are pretty short and they just don't like to do what I want them to do. Basically, my lashes misbehave on a daily basis and I'm actually jealous of everyone who has naturally fluttery lashes. I am looking into maybe having a Lash Lift sometime this year but I get a bit scared with having any beauty procedures done near my eyes. The Hairburst Lash and Brow Enhancing Serum priced at £32.99* claims to improves the appearance of brittle, sparse, thin lashes by conditioning your natural lashes and brows and encouraging longer and stronger hair overall. I haven't used the serum on my brows because my brows aren't too sparse, they are just very fair so I just tend to tint them when I remember to and for makeup I just pop on a little bit of Glossier boy brow in Brown and/or Lottie London Arch Rival. But I have used the serum on my lashes every night for about two months and guess what? IT ACTUALLY WORKS! whilst I do think its a little pricey at £32.99, it's definitely improved my natural lashes and they have grown and I can see a noticeable different both when I'm makeup free and when I'm wearing makeup. It states that results should be seen within 4-8 weeks but I think I started to see results in about 2 weeks which is impressive. I think I have had better results on my lower lashes (weird fact but when I get super stressed some times a few of my lower lashes fall out... yep really) but my upper lashes definitely look longer and they stay curled for a longer amount of time. I've found that when I use my favourite mascaras I'm getting even better results from them too. So I do think it's a great product if your understand the struggles of rubbish natural lashes.
Overall I'm really impressed with both of products I've tried from Hairburst and I have high hopes for any other products I try from them in the future. I'm already eyeing up their Hairburst Elixir - Volume and Growth Spray and their Longer, Stronger Hair Shampoo and Conditioner duo. Another great thing about Hairburst is that if you buy their products from Superdrug they are included in their 3 for 2 offer on Vitamins most of the time!
