I find that CBD in general helps with my pelvic pain which basically feels like either someone is stabbing me, electrocuting me or ripping my insides out every single day which is why I think it's most likely endometriosis which is basically just a gynaecological disease and is described as a "cancer that doesn't kill you" and it's so hard to get any doctors or gynaecologists to actually listen to your symptoms because unfortunately it seems like women's health is not cared for enough by the NHS and if you're in the same situation as me and can't afford to go private, you're just stuck until someone finally listens to you and you just have to figure out how to manage the pain and other symptoms as best as you can whether it's with prescribed meds or natural methods. Also when I complain or talk about my pelvic pain the whereabouts of my pain is pretty much everywhere in "that" region too if you catch my drift. So yeah, as you can imagine it's pretty crap to have to deal with pain in my ovaries, my pubic bone, womb and etc every single day. I don't feel like CBD does much for my back pain which is weird but my chronic back pain is in the lower back mainly and it feels like a very bad trapped nerve which also radiates to my hips and upper legs but I was referred to the physiotherapists last year and they saw me once and discharged me after about 10 minutes because I told them about my pelvic pain and they wouldn't continue to work with me and my pain until my pelvic pain is properly diagnosed. So that's probably a long time or never. Yep... Great. This is why I feel so let down by the NHS and I'm not even going into full on detail like I am going to in an upcoming post which I will probably split into a few different parts.
So more about the Salve Herbal CBD Hemp Oil which I've been trying out. According to Salve Herbal the CBD oil is made from full spectrum non GMO hemp grown in the EU without the use of pesticides. Each batch is tested to guarantee accurate concentration and quality. It contains under 0.2% of THC (which makes it legal) and contains a variety of essential vitamins, minerals, protein, fatty acids, flavonoids and terpenes. Their products have been used to relieve anxiety and pain relief and also can be used as a natural sleep aid. I have been trying their drops for around 2 weeks now as I write this and the oil has definitely helped with my pelvic pain even when I take just 4 drops per day (I usually use anywhere between 4-12 drops daily depending on how much pain I'm in). Unfortunately it's not got a great taste but to be fair no CBD oils I've tried so far taste good and the flavoured ones aren't as strong as the "proper" cbd oils so I'd rather put up with the horrible taste and get better results personally.
I do overall recommend CBD oil if you do have any sort of chronic pain, anxiety or sleeping problems because it seems to work a treat for me and I basically feel like some sort of sales person when I recommend it to people haha. I know it's not for everybody and I know that it doesn't work for everybody either but if you haven't tried it and don't feel completely put off by the idea of taking it then you should definitely try it for yourself. If you would like to look at the CBD Hemp Oil I've been trying from Salve Herbal and their other products then you can check out their website here.

I've started using CBD oil for my anxiety and the one I have is peppermint flavoured because I heard the taste was pretty awful. It seems to have good effects so far, not amazing but I'm going to keep using it and see. I'm glad to hear its helped you somewhat as well!

I've only used CBD oil once, it tasted so bad and since I've only used it once I'm not sure if it had much effect.
ReplyDeleteIt's great that it helps you, it's so frustrating to have undiagnosed pain that people can't physically see x
So sorry you're suffering with pelvic pain. I have painful bladder syndrome / intersitial cystitis so can empathise.
ReplyDeleteDo you mind my asking which other CBD oil you've used and which you find most effective? I've tried Healthspan's capsules but they don't seem to have any effect at all. I think oil would be the best way to go but really don't know where to start! Thank you and I hope the oil continues to give you some relief.
Sorry to hear of your problems. It does suck :(
DeleteAnd I also use Bristol CBD 500mg 5% which is the one I use the most and repurchased a few times now. Whichever oil you try I hope it helps! It did take about a week or so for it to start working for me. I think you have to build it up in your body a little at first :) x
Thank you Kirsty, I will give that a go.
