As always the box is filled with an array of products from skincare, haircare, makeup and even a healthy superfood shot drink. So here's what I think about this month's box that is worth over £55 and whether I would recommend picking it up. You can still buy this month's box on the website here and if you stick around until the end of this post then you can get yourself 20% off your first box, making it just £8!
First up is the Huda Beauty Lip Contour Matte Pencil in either Trendsetter or Wifey (worth £18.61)* which I was very excited to see in the box because I've actually never tried anything from Huda Beauty before but I've heard good things. I got the shade Wifey which is a dusky pink shade so right up my street when it comes to lip colour! It's very creamy and it's just a nice, wearable everyday kind of shade. So right away the first product in the box is worth more than the amount of buying the March box.
You also get the Murad Retinol Youth Renewal Serum - Deluxe Serum (worth £12.50)* and Smashbox The Original Photo Finish Smooth & Blur Foundation Primer (worth £6.63)*. Now I'm not going to lie, I don't like it when subscription boxes contain "deluxe samples" because, at the end of the day, it's still a sample. I think with one of the samples being from Murad who are a high-end brand, I can just about let it slide but I was a little disappointed to see two deluxe-sized samples in this months box, especially with it being a special box celebrating their birthday. I am looking forward to trying out the serum from Murad though as I've recently been using an eye product from them and it's really good (it's just a shame the full size is £60 - ouch!) and I am already a fan of Smashbox's Photo Finish Smooth & Blur Foundation Primer but I haven't used it in a while so it kind of reminded how much I like it. I suppose it could come in handy for people who like to have travel-sized products at hand too.
You also get the Umberto Giannini Banana Butter Vegan Leave-in Conditioner (worth £9)* which is actually a product I was planning to buy soon once I'd used up some of my hair masks and treatments. As expected, it does have a very strong banana-ry scent but it works really well at taming your hair. I've been applying it to my mid-lengths and ends and it's really been helping with my natural frizziness.
You also get an Oh K! SOS Facial Steam Mask (worth £6)* which I'm really looking forward to giving a go. I do like Oh K! as a brand in general and I own quite a few products by them but I've never tried their facial steam mask before. It sounds perfect for my skin though!
Lastly is the BumbleZest Calm & Comfort Superfood Shot Drink (worth £2.40)* which I'm still yet to try just because I'm a little anxious about drinking it as it contains half a lemon and I do have stomach inflammation issues but I'm probably just gonna neck it back after I've taken one of my stomach acid pills and hope for the best haha! I do really like the sound of the drink and I think we could all do with some calm and comfort in our lives right now, right? It contains Chamomile, Lavender, Spirulina, Lemon, Mint, Cinnamon, Himalayan Salt and a drop of Maple. It's also vegan-friendly (gluten, dairy, lactose and nut-free).
