Trying COSRX Skincare For The First Time

-If a product is marked with a * then it was PR/Gifted to me. This post contains no sponsored content-
COSRX Skincare has been on my radar for a little while, I've seen some impressive before and after photos on my Instagram feed and their products are within my budget. In today's post, I'm going to be talking about my thoughts on the three products I've been trialling over the past month or so and whether I would recommend them or not.

The first product I'm going to talk about is the Low pH Good Morning Gel Cleanser RRP £13.99* which is the product I was most excited to try out of the three I was sent because I'm a sucker for a cleanser. It does have quite a strong smell and this is kind of niche but if you're familiar with the Cosmetic Warrior fresh face mask from LUSH then it reminds me of that. To me, it smells like tea tree and garlic together. It works well as a refreshing morning cleanser that doesn't strip the skin or leaves it feeling dry or tight. I also really like the packaging and I think it's a really good price at £13.99 so I would pick it up again.

I was also sent the AHA/BHA Clarifying Treatment Toner RRP £19.99* to try which sounded right up my street as I love a chemical exfoliator! It's formulated with natural ingredients which are 10% of Apple Fruit Water (AHA) and 10% of Willow Bark Water (BHA) along with a mineral water base. As always with an AHA/BHA treatment, you should be extra careful when it comes to sun exposure as chemical exfoliators do make your skin more sensitive to the sun so make sure you use an SPF 30 or higher when this product or any other AHA/BHA is in your routine. I'll be honest I don't really understand why it comes in a spray bottle as the instructions tell you to spray it onto a cotton pad, so I would've preferred if it was in a bottle like Pixi's Glow Tonic for instance, as I feel like you have to spray quite a lot to thoroughly soak the cotton pad and if it was in a normal bottle with a hole, it would be easier to apply onto a cotton pad but that's just my personal preference. The product itself is good and I like that it's kind of a double whammy exfoliator with it being AHA/BHA and not just AHA or BHA on its own. I do feel like it brightens up my skin and also helps to keep spots a bay and/or helps to send any present ones on their way.

Lastly is the Clear Fit Master Patch RRP £14* and I am actually already familiar with spot stickers as I already buy them from a different brand on Amazon and have done for probably about a year now. They work best on whiteheads and the sticker helps to draw out any of the rubbish and oils from the spot(s), without making your skin around the area dry or irritated. I'm not going to lie, I also find it quite fascinating to see how much crap is inside a spot haha (it's almost as satisfying as when you use a blackheads strip!). I tend to pop these on at night so that they work whilst I'm asleep but you can also wear them during the day and underneath makeup as they do turn almost invisible once they've settled onto your skin and it doesn't hurt when you remove them either. I do feel like the COSRX ones are a bit overpriced as the ones I buy called Dots For Spots are £5.99 for a pack of 24 and I feel like they both work exactly the same for me. So I personally wouldn't pick up the COSRX ones again just because I can get more for my money elsewhere but they do work and they are really good if you struggle with whitehead spots.

Overall I've enjoyed giving COSRX Skincare a try, there are definitely some more products in the range that I want to give a whirl. If you're interested in trying them out for yourself then you can purchase COSRX Skincare from Feel Unique.
