Mother's Day is fast approaching as it lands on the 14th March this year, so if you celebrate Mother's Day and haven't bought anything for your mum or mother figure in your life yet then this post might be helpful if you're stuck for ideas. In this post, I'm going to be talking about an array of gifts that I've chosen for my lovely mum. From perfume, skincare and bath and body care products which are all available from Boots. I've chosen a mixture of products that I know she likes and uses already as well as a couple of products that I'm pretty sure she'll like because they seem like her cup of tea. As well as the gifts I've chosen, I'm also going to be talking about what we're planning on doing for Mother's Day this year as well as it's obviously going to be a little different again this year as we're still living with restrictions in place due to COVID.
My mum is an absolute star and I would be completely lost without her and I love Mother's Day as it's the perfect time to treat her because she always gets annoyed if I treat her to something randomly. She always tells me to stop spending money on her and to save it or spend it on myself instead (and yes, it drives me mad haha).
The first two products I picked up for my mum are Soap & Glory products because she really likes Soap & Glory and she's always pinching my S&G products in the bathroom so I thought I'd pick up two products that I know she loves to use.
The first her go-to products from S&G are the Peaches and Clean Deep Cleansing Milk* which she says helps with her maskne as it's purifying but still gentle enough for her sensitive skin. The second is the Soap & Glory Flake Away Body Polish*, which is one of Soap & Glory's classic products and helps to buff away dead skin, leaving you feeling super soft. It's also scented with the Original Pink fragrance, which is my mum's favourite range by Soap & Glory.
My mum is like me and is an absolute sucker for perfume so I always get her a bottle of perfume as a gift on Mother's Day. If you're looking for Women's Perfume then Boots have definitely got you covered. There's literally something for everyone and the website is easy to navigate so you can pick and choose what fragrance type and scent you're looking for. I've actually chosen two perfumes this year, one is quite a sentimental scent to both of us so I thought it would be quite a nice Mother's Day gift, and the other is a fragrance I don't think she's tried before but I'm pretty sure she'll like.
The first perfume I've chosen is the Yardley London Lily of the Valley EDT (125ml)* which is priced at £14.99. It's quite a sentimental scent to both of us, as a place we used to visit in Derbyshire which is no longer open always smelled like Lily of the Valley. It reminds us both of a particular family day out that we used to do regularly when I was growing up, so I thought it would be nice to gift her the fragrance for Mother's Day this year. It's also super affordable at £14.99.
The second perfume I've chosen for her is the Philosophy Amazing Grace Ballet Rose For Her EDT (60ml)* priced at £33, which has top notes of Blackcurrant Flowers and Lychee, heart notes of Rose, Jasmine and Peony and base notes of Pink Musk, Palissander Wood and Ambrette Seeds. I know my mum tends to like floral scents, particularly ones which have notes of rose, peony and musk, so I'm pretty sure she will like this fragrance as well.
I also picked up the Beauty Kitchen Sustainables Bath and Body Shower Exfoliator* because whenever I buy someone bath and body products, I always buy a nice new body sponge or shower puff to go alongside the products and I like that Beauty Kitchen's offering is 100% natural and biodegradable.
I spotted the Ted Baker Peony Spritz Minis Bag Gift Set* and I just had to pick it up as my mum really likes Ted Baker products and I don't think she's tried the Peony Spritz range before. It contains a travel-sized body spray, body wash and hand cream and I just thought it sounded right up my mum's street. She could even save the products until we're hopefully allowed to travel again later in the year, although I'm sure she'll probably delve into using the products way before then.
I also picked up the Sanctuary Spa White Lily & Damask Rose Body Wash* as I know my mum really likes Sanctuary Spa and I thought the scent would complement the Yardley London Lily of The Valley fragrance nicely.
And lastly is the Tisserand Aromatherapy Sleep Better Bath Oil* which I decided to pick up because I know my mum has been struggling to sleep throughout the whole night recently. It's unusual because normally she can sleep through anything. She's also been having a few nightmares here and there as well so I thought I'd pick up the Sleep Better Bath Oil to see if it helps at all.
For Mother's Day this year, I think we're just planning on having a cosy day at home because we're still obviously being super careful when it comes to COVID, especially as two out of three of us in our household are classed as high-risk, although by Mother's Day we should have all had our first vaccination I think. We'll probably get some baked goods in and just have a bit of a pamper and watch some of our favourite films and we might even do a little bit of baking later on in the day as well. If the weather is nice then we also might go for a short walk nearby or just relax in the garden.
I'm currently using the Soap & Glory Peaches and Clean Deep Cleansing Milk and I like it. It's really affordable and does a great job of getting rid of any makeup that's on my face.
ReplyDeleteBoots is a great place to shop for Mother's Day. My mum used to work there, so I know a lot about all of the different ranges. It looks like you picked up some great gifts for your mum!
