Kristin Ess Hair offers luxury hair care products at an affordable price and their cruelty-free products are available from Boots both in-store and online. I’ve been trying out three products by the brand over the past couple of weeks and I’ve discovered a new favourite product in the process. Keep on reading for my overall thoughts and to find out more info about the must-have product…

First up from Kristin Ess is the Style Reviving Dry Shampoo RRP £12* which is talc-free, oil absorbing and powder-based. It’s also suitable for all hair types and free of sulfates, parabens and phthalates. It is pricier than my usual go-to dry shampoo brands as I usually buy either Batiste or Colab which are around the £4 mark, however with the Kristin Ess dry shampoo being talc-free you can’t feel it in your hair as much as you can with the cheaper brands, so if you hate the powdery feeling of cheaper dry shampoos then this might be one for you. It effortlessly refreshes second or third-day hair whilst giving a nice amount of volume at the roots and believe me when I say that my hair type really put it to the test as I do struggle with my roots getting oily quite quickly. The only thing which I found a little off-putting is the scent of the dry shampoo, it’s quite a strong fresh scent and I’m still on the fence about whether I like it or not. I definitely prefer the scents from the more affordable brands so I’m still in two minds on whether I would repurchase.

I’ve also been trying out the Dry Finish Working Texture Spray RRP £12* which they claim helps to create effortless, undone, soft matte texture for all hair types. I’ve tried this on natural wavy hair (after being in a low bun hairstyle) and it’s good to add a little bit of texture and movement before a quick blast of hairspray. I’ve also tried it after using my Toni & Guy mermaid hair waver and again, it really helps to add some texture and breaks up the sections a little which is good as I personally prefer a messier mermaid wave look than a perfect wave. Overall I like this, it's lightweight, it doesn’t feel sticky after use and you don’t have to use much product to get results.

Last up is my favourite of three which is the Weightless Shine Leave-in Conditioner RRP £11* which is suitable for all hair types and they claim has multiple hair benefits such as softening and strengthening, detangling, moisture sealing and also shine enhancement. It has a pleasant smell and it’s really lightweight and doesn’t make your hair look or feel greasy which you do have to be quite wary of usually when it comes to leave-in conditioners because some can leave your hair feeling quite weighed down. Overall I would definitely recommend the Weightless Shine Leave-in Conditioner it makes my hair so much more manageable and leaves it feeling super smooth and looking healthy and shiny. I will 100% be repurchasing!
