First up is the Bondi Sands Eye Spy Eye Cream RRP £9.99 which does tend to go on offer at Boots often for about £6-7. It contains vitamin C, green coffee beans and carrot oil which all work to soothe, hydrate and brighten your under eyes. It really does help to make you look more awake. I even mentioned it in one of my Things I’ve Been Loving Recently blog posts last year and I’ve repurchased it again since.
Essence Hello Good Stuff Cica Face Cream RRP £3.79 is a lovely soothing moisturiser which can be used as part of your skincare routine or as a primer for underneath your foundation. I tend to reach for it when my skin is feeling a little sensitive and I can imagine it being a good option for anyone who has dry and/or sensitive skin. I tend to buy Essence from Just My Look as they tend to have offers on quite often such as 3 for 2 or a free gift if you spend over a certain amount.
Nivea is a great affordable brand to check out if you’re in need of some affordable skincare products as they have something for every skin type and concern. I recently did a review of the Nivea Derma Skin Clear Range* which contains three active ingredients Niacinamide, Salicylic Acid and Glycolic Acid and is targeted at oily/blemish-prone skin. They also have a Hydra Skin Effect range* which I reviewed last year which you can find here.
A few other Nivea products that I love and have repurchased multiple times are the Nivea Soft Moisturising Cream which is usually around £2-£3 depending where you get it from and it can be used on your face, body and hands. Another product I love is the Nivea UV Face Soothing Sensitive SPF 50 which is a nice lightweight SPF suitable for all skin types.
So I was going to recommend The Ordinary’s 7% Glycolic Acid Toner which is a really nice glycolic acid but it’s gone up in price since I last purchased it and it’s now over the £10 mark. So I’m just going to recommend Pixi Glow Tonic RRP £10 (100ml) instead. I do think Pixi Glow Tonic is my favourite glycolic acid toner out of the ones I’ve tried over the years because it not only helps to exfoliate your skin and makes it lovely and smooth but it also gives your skin a nice fresh glow.
I’m recommending an old classic for a spot treatment, the Witch Naturally Clear Blemish Stick RRP £2.69. It’s really good at reducing whitehead spots and it also helps to calm those horrible under-the-skin spots which hurt.
Lastly is the COSRX Acne Pimple Master Patch hydrocolloid patches RRP £5.50 (on Amazon) and you get 24 patches per pack and they come in 3 different sizes. I always have a pack of these in and they’re good on regular whitehead spots that you want to get rid of ASAP and they’re also good on spots that you can tell are going to turn into a full-blown whitehead as it speeds up the process. They don’t however work on blackheads or painful under the skin spots. I personally find that they work best overnight after I’ve cleansed my face.
So there are some affordable skincare products that I can 100% wholeheartedly recommend. What are you go-to affordable skincare products under £10? I'm planning on making this into a little series and I'm going to cover body care under £10 and also probably hair care under £10 too.
That's interesting, this would be helpful for people looking for skincare product with this price. I will keep them in mind if my friends ask me. Thank you for sharing!
