First up is the Collection Filter Finish Primer/Illuminator which has been my go-to primer since last year. I love how it’s a multi-use product as you can use it as a primer, mix it with your foundation and/or use it as a highlighter. It just gives a nice glow without looking over the top and it’s great that it’s so affordable with it being by Collection.
Next up is the No7 Essentially Natural Foundation which is a really nice light-medium lightweight foundation. I use the shade Calico which seems to work well for my pale skin tone and it just evens everything out and gives a nice amount of coverage. It doesn’t sink into fine lines or pores as it’s quite hydrating and it also contains SPF 15. They have changed the packaging of this foundation but I bought a few tubes of the older version when it was on offer a while ago so I’ve still got the old packaged version.
I’ve also started using the It Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC+ Cream again for when I want a bit more coverage and/or a quicker way to apply SPF50 and foundation all at once. I just think it’s a nice base and it also contains collagen, peptides, niacinamide & hyaluronic acid so you get skincare benefits when you’re using the CC Cream as well. I’m so happy I’ve rediscovered it after not using it for a while and I completely forgot how nice it looks on.
Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer is still my go-to concealer for both my under eyes and any sort of imperfections. I genuinely think it works better than some high-end concealers I’ve tried in the past.
I’ve recently rediscovered the Bourjois Little Round Pot Blusher in Rose De Jaspe 95 and it's such a pretty glowy pink shade and it blends seamlessly. I also like how it’s only little so it fits in my makeup bag easily. I still like the Glossier Cloud Paint Blushers but I do think they’re expensive for what they are and you can definitely get cheaper alternatives from Superdrug and Boots now.
For highlighter, I’m really liking the Glossier Haloscope in Quartz for a more natural, balmy kind of glow or the Charlotte Tilbury Beauty Light Wand in Spotlight for more of an intense but pretty glow. They’re both super easy to apply as well which is a big plus in my book.
I’ve also been using the Revolution Super Dewy Liquid Bronzer in Fair to Light just to add a little bit of warmth to my skin. I’m quite pale and I can just about get away with using this without it looking ‘muddy’ but it does blend out quite easily. You also only need a small amount per use so it will definitely last a while.
For mascara, I’m using the Lancôme Lash Idole Mascara* which I talked about in my last Beauty and Lifestyle Haul and I’m also using the Elf Big Mood Mascara which is okay but I won’t be picking it up again as there are definitely better drugstore priced mascara such as the L’Oréal Lash Paradise and Maybelline Lash Sensational.
For lips, I’ve just been keeping it really basic and I’ve been using either my Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Lipstick in Pillow Talk which is literally my favourite lipstick or just a Burt’s Bees Lip Balm, I’m currently using the ‘Picking Wildflowers’ Strawberry flavour which is lovely.
To seal everything in place I always use my trusty Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray which is an absolute essential in my makeup bag. I just can’t fault it, it works so well and my makeup always stays in place for a longer amount of time when I use it.
