Fenty Skin Hella Thicc Mascara + Melt Awf Makeup-Melting Cleanser Duo RRP £21 // A book of your choice // LUSH Berry Christmas Gift Set RRP £16
First up is the Fenty Skin Hella Thicc Mascara + Melt Awf Makeup-Melting Cleanser Duo RRP £21 from Boots which I’ve actually added to my own Christmas wishlist because I think it’s good value for money and I like that it’s a mixture of both makeup and skincare. The mascara is full size (10ml) which surprised me because you don’t see that often in high-end gift sets especially around the £20 price point and the cleanser is a mini version (30ml).
Next up is that book or book series you’ve been meaning to pick up. Whether it’s a coffee table book you’ll pick up here and there, a book full of facts or advice like Dr Michael Moseley‘s Just One Thing or The A-Z of Mindfulness Book or maybe a popular book series such as A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas. If there’s a book you’ve been meaning to pick up then just pop it on your Christmas wish list.
I also think receiving something from LUSH is always nice. I love LUSH but their prices have just gone a little bit silly now so they’re more of a treat purchase for me these days, especially when you can find dupes such as a Snow Fairy Shower Gel dupe for a few pounds. I also don’t use bath bombs anymore. The LUSH Berry Christmas Gift Set RRP £16 contains Berry Berry Christmas Shower Gel and Once Upon a Time Body Lotion which I think are both new products for the 2023 Christmas range.
George at Asda Natural Vintage Woodland Duvet Set from RRP £11 // Super Mario Bros. Wonder RRP £39.99 // The White Company Winter Candle RRP £22
If you’re a fan of all things cosy then you could put a new duvet cover on your Christmas wishlist. I tend to shop at George at Asda for my bedding as I find that they’re usually good quality and reasonably priced and there’s a nice variety of prints too. I really like the look of the Natural Vintage Woodland Duvet Set that they currently have in stock. It’s definitely giving cosy cottage-core vibes.
If you’re looking for a game to play either on your own or with your family then the new Super Mario Bros. Wonder for the Nintendo Switch has got some fantastic reviews. You can have up to 4 players playing locally and you can also play online. However, if you’ve not played Super Mario Odyssey before then I would highly recommend that first. It’s only suitable for either 1-2 players though so it depends on your preference but it’s definitely my personal fave when comes to Super Mario games.
You could also ask for a new candle for Christmas this year, whether it’s a limited edition one from Wickford & Co. which are available from Home Bargains, a Bath and Body Works candle or The White Company candle. I think I’m going to put The White Company Winter Signature Candle on my wish list because it’s perfect for this time of the year.
Hotel Chocolat Velvetiser RRP £109.95 // Make & Create Wax Melts RRP £7 // Perfume of Your Choice
The Hotel Chocolat Velvetiser would be a perfect gift for a big hot chocolate fan. It also seems to go on offer quite a lot on Amazon as when I’m writing this it’s actually gone down to £89.99. Also, I have seen people say that you can use other branded hot chocolate and it works okay so you don’t have to be stuck to one brand if you don’t want to be.
If you're looking to find a new hobby to get into or just learn how to make something new then you could pop a craft kit on your Christmas list. The Works have a good selection of craft kits at affordable prices. They also offer 2 for £12 and 3 for £15 on selected kits. I’ve popped a make-your-own rose-scented wax melts craft kit on my list but there are loads to choose from including jewellery-making kits, a learn-how-to-do calligraphy set, a soap-making kit and more.
You could also ask for a top-up of your favourite perfume or something completely new. There are a few perfumes that I’ve had my eyes on since trying them out in-store or by receiving samples. I think if I had to choose just one then I would love Eilish No. 2 by Billie Eilish as it has quite a unique scent and I don’t have any other perfume that’s even remotely similar to it in my perfume collection. It’s quite woody but also a little fresh and floral too. According to Fragrantica it has top notes of Bergamot and Apple Blossom, middle notes of Black Pepper, Papyrus and Poppy and base notes of Palo Santo, Ebony and Vanilla.
Silentnight Comfort Control Electric Blanket - Double RRP £35 // Lottie London Oil Slick Duo RRP £8 // Ring Fit Adventure RRP £56.99
Another cosy gift you could ask for which could also help to save you some money in the long run as well is the Silentnight Comfort Control Electric Blanket RRP £35 which will keep you feeling nice and toasty during the colder weather. The only problem is that you won’t want to leave your bed first thing in the morning!
If you want to keep your lips nice and hydrated then the Lottie London Oil Slick Duo RRP £8 is a cheaper way to buy two of their lip oils at once as they’re usually £6 each. They come in the shades Hot Cocoa and Marshmallow.
Lastly is Ring Fit Adventure RRP £56.99 which is without a doubt the best exercise game/workout game you can get on the Nintendo Switch. It’s ideal if you want to work out at home and there are lots of things to do from completing the campaign or ‘adventure mode’, workout routines that you can set up yourself or you can just follow the pre-made ones, fun mini-games and more. I think because it’s game-based, it keeps you motivated because you want to get to the next level (in the adventure mode), unlock the new items and move on to the next world. I talked more about Ring Fit Adventure in a favourites post earlier this year which you can read here.
