The Body Shop Haul | Skincare, Bodycare and Makeup

I thought I would do a little haul for today’s post as just before Christmas I ordered several products from The Body Shop. Some of the products I picked up were repurchases of some of my favourites such as the Moringa Shower Gel, Moringa Body Yogurt and the Strawberry Lip Butter, so I won’t be talking about any of them as I've talked about them all before. Instead, I will talk about the products that I’ve not tried before. I also have an exclusive 20% off code to share with you at the end of this post!

First up is the Camomile Jelly One-Step Cleanser RRP £12 which I think is a pretty new release from The Body Shop. I’m a big fan of the Camomile Cleansing Butter so I just knew that I would like the Jelly One-Step Cleanser from the get-go. It’s suitable for sensitive skin, sensitive eyes and contact lens wearers. It smells pleasant and removes my usual light-medium amount of makeup easily. I also use it as a regular cleanser even when I’ve not been wearing any makeup and it leaves your skin feeling well cleansed and silky soft. It kind of reminds me of the Glossier Milky Jelly Cleanser which I do really like but I just can’t justify buying anymore since they put their prices up. I will definitely be repurchasing the Camomile Jelly One-Step Cleanser once I’ve used up my current bottle and I would recommend trying it out if you’re in the market for a jelly cleanser that’s suitable for sensitive skin.

Around this time of the year, my usually oily skin seems to become more sensitive and prone to reacting to things more easily. So I decided to pick up the Mediterranean Almond Milk With Oats Instant Soothing Mask RRP £20 which I have actually used before a few years ago and I remember that it worked well at reducing redness in my face after an allergic reaction to something. It literally looks like creamy porridge in the jar and it has a nice light sweet almond milk scent. I don’t really know what else to say other than it really does do what it says it will do and helps to soothe and soften your skin. If you have sensitive skin and looking for a face mask then this is the one you want to be picking up.

I picked up the Vanilla Body Mist RRP £12 as I like The Body Shop body mists as they’re not overpowering and the scent sticks around pretty well. So I decided to try the Vanilla Body Mist and I’ll be honest, it’s not what I expected. I was hoping for more of a sweet kind warm vanilla scent but instead, it’s kind of fresh which I just wasn’t expecting. I like it but I don't love it, so I will continue to use it but I don’t think I’ll repurchase it just because it’s just not what I was looking for.

I also got the Total Body Relaxer RRP £12 because I thought it would be good for my chronic pain, particularly for the top of my legs (which I’m pretty sure is something going on with my nerves and my suspected endometriosis) as well as my lower back pain and also for just general aches like when you get a sore neck when you’ve slept in a weird position. I’ve only used the Total Body Relaxer a few times and it’s definitely a good way to massage your body to relieve tension and/or pain as you can apply both light or deep pressure. You can also use it with body oil or cream.

I picked up a small bottle of their Ginger Anti Dandruff Shampoo RRP £3 (60ml) because I do sometimes struggle with dandruff and I usually use Head & Shoulders but I find that not only does it dry out my hair but it also tends to strip the dye out of my hair too (probably because I use a box dye). So I thought I would try the Ginger Anti Dandruff Shampoo because it obviously contains less harsh chemicals. However, I haven’t actually had any dandruff since buying it so I can’t say whether it works or not.

I also bought the Chinese Ginseng and Rice Clarifying Polishing Mask RRP £8 (15ml) and I decided to buy the smaller jar over the full size just because I wanted to make sure I liked it enough first. It has a kind of scrub-like texture when you’re applying it and it has a nice fresh and uplifting scent. I've only used it once but I found that it helped to brighten up my skin and also left my skin feeling soft. I definitely plan on buying the full size once I’ve used up a couple of my other full-size masks.

Lastly is the Freestyle Multi Tasking Colour in the shade Equal RRP £12 which can be used as a blush, lip colour or eyeshadow. I personally like to use it as a blush over a lip colour or eyeshadow because of its matte finish. The shade Equal is a pretty bright mid-tone reddy pink and it is really pigmented so you only need a small amount. It lasts well on your skin and I like that there is a good amount of shades for all skin tones.
