3 Products Which Will Help Clear Your Skin

I thought I would share three products I’ve been using to help with my oily, spot-prone skin. I may be 30 now but my skin still acts like I’m still a teenager but at least I know what ingredients work best for me now. All three products in this post are affordable with two being under £10 and one just over £20 (but you usually get it on offer somewhere).

First up is the Nivea Derma Clear Face Wash Gel RRP £4.99 which is honestly an absolute steal for the RRP price and you can usually get it on offer for even cheaper for around £2.50 at Superdrug or Amazon. It contains two of my must-have ingredients which are Salicylic Acid and Niacinamide. The Salicylic Acid exfoliates your skin and the Niacinamide helps to even out skin tone, regulate oil production and helps your skin to retain water. The cleansing gel wash also has a lovely, fresh scent. They also have some other products available from their Derma Clear range that you can use alongside it which you can read more about in my Nivea Derma Clear Review

The La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo +M Anti Blemish Corrective Gel Moisturiser RRP £20.90 has become a firm staple in my skincare routine. However, I find that if I use it daily as a preventative, it can sometimes dry out my skin a little. So instead of using it as a preventative treatment, I use it when I can see or feel a spot brewing as it usually helps to get rid of it quicker or stops it from spouting into a big spot.

Lastly is the Mallows Beauty Spot Treatment Gel RRP £9.95 which I actually use all over my body on any type of spot from a whitehead to ingrown hair bumps and I even use it on insect bites such as mosquitoes or gnats as it helps to take the sting feeling out. It contains Vitamin E, Hyaluronic Acid, Aloe Vera, Vitamin C and Tea Tree oils. It’s a good product to pop on a spot that’s just appeared from nowhere as it will reduce it within a few hours. Their website says that it is fragrance-free but to me, it smells like tea tree. It seems to be lasting me ages and I will definitely repurchase when it does run out.

  1. I desperately need a good skincare product for regulating oil, so I'll have a look at the Nivea Derma Skin Clear Wash Gel. Thank you for the recommendations x

  2. The Nivea face wash sounds like such a bargain for a product that works so well! The fact you can get it for £2.50 sometimes is great. My skin is more dry than oily, but I'll be sure to check out what other products they have, as I do love the sound of it xx
