Cosy Homeware Picks

I’ll be honest, I really don’t like summer and it doesn’t seem to like me either, well, my body that is. It definitely makes my chronic pain flare up more and I also can’t really use my heat pad when the weather is warm unless I want to literally melt. I also just find that during the summer I feel uncomfortable, my appetite goes out of the window and I also don’t know what to wear because I don’t feel confident showing off my chunky, wobbly arms and legs. So I basically just suffer until autumn comes back around lol. So because of this, I’ve been wishing away the summer and looking at some cosy homeware bits for the autumn and winter months and I thought I’d share some of my fave picks so far. George at Asda It’s a Good Day To Be Happy Frame RRP £7 // Sass and Belle Retro ‘Keep Growing’ Mug RRP £13 // George at Asda Faux Modern Deco String of Hearts RRP £8

First up is the It’s a Good Day To Be Happy Frame RRP £7 which I like because it could be used in multiple different rooms in a house and it’s cute but not too ‘in your face’. I think it would look nice styled on a shelf with a plant and maybe some books and other little trinkets.

I’m a bit of an unintentional mug collector and I really like the look of the Sass and Belle Retro ‘Keep Growing’ Mug RRP £13. I think it’s sweet and perfect for the cosy season. It would also make a lovely little gift as well.

I think the George at Asda Faux Modern Deco String of Hearts RRP £8 looks really realistic and I did try and fail at growing my own String of Hearts plant so I think I’m best just sticking to a faux one.

Home Bargains The Lifestyle Edit Harvest Check Throw RRP £9.99 // Matalan Kitchen Co Cream Ceramic TCS Stack RRP £17 // George at Asda Green 3D Flower Cushion RRP £9

The Home Bargains The Lifestyle Edit Harvest Check Throw RRP £9.99 looks perfect for the cosy season, however, I definitely think my cats will claim it if I do end up picking it up because obviously whenever a new blanket comes into the house, they automatically think it’s for them. There are two colours to choose from, I prefer the orange and green check option over the green option.

The Matalan Kitchen Co Cream Ceramic TCS Stack RRP £17 would fit in perfectly in our kitchen but I also think it’s good if you have a small kitchen as they take up less space on the worktop. I hate bulky jars and other things that clutter up the kitchen.

I think the George at Asda Green 3D Flower Cushion RRP £9 is really cute and a good statement cushion which also adds some texture. I like the darker colour, as a lot of the flower cushions around at the moment are light and pastel colours and although I do own a lighter-coloured flower cushion, it’s nice to see something different.

George at Asda Folk Panel Floral Reversible Duvet Set - Double RRP £15 // Home Bargains Autumn Spice Candle RRP £2.99 // Next Green Freya Battery Operated Ambient Lamp in Green RRP £22

The Folk Panel Floral Reversible Duvet Set - Double RRP £15 looks like it belongs on a bed in a cosy cabin in the middle of nowhere. I know it won’t be to everyone’s taste, but I think it’s really pretty and kind of vintage-looking.

You can’t go wrong with a Bath & Body Works dupe candle from Home Bargains and the Autumn Spice Candle RRP £2.99 looks and sounds lovely and I’m hoping my local Home Bargains has it in stock soon.

Lastly is the Next Green Freya Battery Operated Ambient Lamp in Green RRP £22. I already own an ambient battery-operated lamp and it’s one of my favourite homeware purchases that I picked up this year. My bedroom has awkwardly placed plugs, so it comes in handy. The Next Green Freya Battery Operated Ambient Lamp would look nice in my living room just to give off a nice glow in the corner of the room. I also like that it has a timer setting which my current battery-operated lamp doesn’t have.
