Things I’ve Been Loving Recently…

I realised recently that I haven’t written a post about things I’ve been loving recently in almost a year - what?! So I thought now would be a great time to write one as we’re practically in the autumn now. So here are some things I’ve been loving during the spring and summer months this year.

First up is the Mallows Beauty Milk Chocolate Face Mask RRP £19.95 which I got in one of their TikTok mystery bundles around Easter. It has a jelly-like consistency and a little seems to go a long way. It does have a sweet chocolate-y scent but it’s not super strong which I prefer and it leaves my skin looking nice and fresh thanks to the pineapple enzymes in the ingredients which help to eat up any dead skin cells. I don’t think it is available anymore but they do have their Pineapple Enzyme Peel Mask, which sounds lovely.

I’ve also been really enjoying using the Why So CBD? Gummies which I reviewed earlier in the year here along with one of their CBD oils. Once I used up the vegan gummies I was kindly sent to try, I went back for more like I said I would and decided to try some different flavours as I do think they help to settle my brain when my mind is racing and I also think they help with my chronic pain, particularly when it’s flaring up bad and the painkillers aren’t working well. I’ve currently got the 500mg Cola Bottle Gummies, 1000mg Strawberries Gummies and the 2000mg Gummy Bears Gummies. If you would like to get 20% off across the Why So CBD? Website then you can use this link or my code: KIRSTYM20 at the checkout. Also if gummies aren’t your cup of tea they sell oils, capsules, vapes and more.

Next up is the Soap & Glory Fresh As Fig Body Wash RRP £4.99 which is described as a limited edition range but I’m pretty sure it’s been available for most of this year. It’s a nice creamy, moisturising body wash which has been lovely to use during the summer. It has a really pleasant fresh, clean scent and it's nice to have a change from their Original Pink range.

I also recently picked up the Creightons Salicylic Acid Intense Serum (2%) RRP £4.99 just to try it out as I really wanted to buy a more expensive salicylic acid that I’ve bought many times before but I didn’t really want to spend almost £30 (I usually buy it on offer and it wasn’t on offer anywhere) and the Creighton’s Salicylic Acid Serum has been working just as well for me so far, so I feel like a made a nice little money-saver. It helps to unclog pores and reduce blemishes really well. It’s also cruelty-free and vegan and available on Amazon and I think you can pick their products up in Home Bargains too.

A very new addition to my perfume collection which has quickly become a favourite is the 060 Chloe from Blossom Perfumery RRP £19.95 (50ml). They sell ‘Inspired By’ fragrances of known brands but at a more affordable price and they are also cruelty-free and vegan. I love the original Chloe perfume but it’s so expensive so I decided to try a sample of the 060 Chloe fragrance first and it smells virtually the same. It also lasts a good amount of time as it is an EDP like the original. So if you’re looking for an ‘Inspired By’ fragrance then I would definitely recommend checking them out. I’ll definitely be trying out more fragrances from them in the future. They sell single samples and also 5x sample bottle boxes which is a great way to try multiple fragrances before you potentially buy the bigger bottle(s).

The Garnier Ultimate Blends Hair Honey Serum RRP £9.99 was featured in of my beauty wishlist posts earlier this year and I picked it up when I saw it on offer at half price and it is so good! If you worry about products weighing down your hair but want to smooth and soften your hair then you need this product. It’s not sticky, a little goes a long way and it smells nice as well. It can also be used on both dry and damp hair which I personally like in a hair product.

And lastly, I’ve finally started to play a game I bought a few months ago on my Nintendo Switch called Roots of Pacha RRP £21.99 which is basically like Stardew Valley but set in Stone Age times. However there is no combat and no money, instead of combat, there are puzzles that you complete in the mines and instead of making money, you have to earn clan prosperity by donating goods that you make, grow or find. I’ve only played it for a few hours so far and I can already tell I’m going to lose many hours to the game. It’s available on PC and consoles.
